I discovered ‘OH LAND‘ while she was supporting ‘KATY PERRY‘ in Nottingham 2012 and I fell in love with her music at once.
She put on an awesome show (So did Katy Perry) visually and audibly, from that day I’ve been a fan of ‘Oh Land’.
‘Nanna Øland Fabricius’ better known as ‘Oh Land‘ is from Copenhagen Denmark and the music has enabled her to tour worldwide. ‘Wish Bone’ is released on ‘Tusk or Tooth’ label and available as digital download or CD.
My favourite song / video of ‘Oh Land’ is ‘White Nights’ taken from her self titled album ‘OH LAND’ Released 2011.
I’ve yet to get my hands on the latest album release ‘Wish Bone’ but it will happen, judging by the latest video it will be sooner rather than later.
It actually doesn’t surprise me how beautiful the video is for ‘Cherry On Top’. It is of a short film-style beginning with her character walking to an audition set in a warehouse, where she meets security. Arriving at the ballet class she’s greeted with the dance tutor, she sits down at the piano to perform the beautiful ‘Cherry On Top’. The video unveils the story of a young boy and his imagination through dancing.
My experience of ‘Oh Land’s’ live performance was of theatrical essence and was visually stunning, it seems effortless for her to merge this talent from on stage to on screen, and what a beautiful video it is.
