Based in Bath, 20 year old singer-songwriter ‘Laura Doggett’.
Allow us to introduce you to an artist who’s getting us very excited for the future of music.
‘Laura Doggett’ evokes interest and leaves you with admiration in a powerful and irresistible way.
She is sure to be the modern face of ‘Florence Welch’ better know as ‘Florence and the Machine‘.
Laura Doggett maybe unheard of for many (for now) but in the short time she’s been exposed to the masses Laura’s already had a huge impact.
Her first upload was on Soundcloud August 2014, already totaling 200, 000+ plays. Her first Vevo / Youtube was uploaded in August with her debut track ‘Phoenix‘ leading up to her most recent just a few days ago ‘MoonShine‘ this is already proving to be the popular hit. The soundtrack for ‘Moonshine’ is quite a rustic and vinyl kind of sound, subtly paving the way for her captivating haunting voice. The video portrays a story about a woman dreaming to be in a magical other world, escaping from the toils of daily life, as she lets go of her past she finds herself set free!
The song ‘Moonshine’ washes over you like the stars creeping in, as you watch day turn into night. She has a quality that resonates and immerses you with a compelling depth.
Recently Laura supported the amazing ‘John Newman‘ for his UK tour. She is now looking forward to her more intimate shows the first being at ‘The Chapel of St Barnabas‘ November 19th, and has already sold out. Fear not there are a few tickets left for the later show that day :: HERE .
Already ‘Huw Stephens’ made ‘Moonshine’ record of the week for ‘BBC Radio 1‘. Recently Laura announced she’s also going to be playlisted from the 3rd November on radio 1’s BBC introducing list.
